I spent two evenings double checking the hull alignment. Yes, it paid off in the end. The boat paddles straight and true.

All the seams inside the boat are filleted with a thickened epoxy and covered with 3 inch fiberglass tape. Two coats of epoxy resin is then painted on all surfaces to waterproof everything.
